"Motel Mercury" - Lyrics

by Jim Howe

There you stand
In the doorway
Wearing things mostly seen
On the pages
Of your monthly
Cavalier Magazine
And it's hot love
Not a lot of
Girls can appreciate
That easy
Cantonese-y
Way they accommodate

It's an old school act
At the Motel Mercury
It's a matter of fact
At the Motel Mercury

The perfume
and the twilight
Soak your silhouette
Getting harder
Lord to breathe babe
As you play the hot soubrette
Draw the blind, love
You're the kind of
Girl who'll appreciate
Every measure
For her pleasure
Here for a nightly rate

It's an old school act
At the Motel Mercury
It's a matter of fact
At the Motel Mercury

Done sent for Babydoll
She's my shanty tramp

It's an old school act
At the Motel Mercury
It's a matter of fact
At the Motel Mercury

There's no need for tact
At the Motel Mercury
Someone's got your back
At the Motel Mercury

"In the Language" - Lyrics

by Jim Howe

how many dogs you have, babe?
yeah, how many howl
to put a tongue to your back, babe
vagaries to your vows?

whyownchya hold me more than understand me
hold me more than understand me
its in the language
its in the language

how many habits you break, babe
they never do no how
how many licks you'll take, babe
before you gotta blow town

whyownchya hold me more than understand me
hold me more than understand me
its in the language
yeah in the language

so long
it's a throwaway
hold on
blow the smoke away

getting juiced in your sleep babe
now the night is wore out
and the locket you keep babe
has your picture tore out

whyownchya hold me more than understand me
hold me more than understand me
its in the language
its in the language

whyownchya hold me more than understand me
hold me more than understand me
its in the language
its in the language

"About Time" Lyrics

by Jim Howe

You're so dear to me
I couldn't let you go if I tried
Now it's clear to me
You need it said not implied
Never mind the silver line
It seemed so hard to find, find, yeah

And if you hear
Someone give
Well it might be about time
And if you hear
Someone laugh
Well it might be about time

You're so dear to me
I'm gonna paint it on the overpass
So you'll clearly see
Mr. Man has some class

Never mind the silver line
This cloud is gonna shine, shine, yeah

And if you hear
Someone give
Well it might be about time
And if you hear
Someone laugh
Well it might be about time

"Bedtime" - Lyrics

by Jim Howe

Well you pulled out with the sunset
Your finger sticking in the air
I guess I got you upset
The neighbors are well aware
We could sleep in tight
If you don't stay out all night

It's bedtime
Baby won't you come back home
It's bedtime
Baby won't you come back home
Babe come home

Well this March will last forever
And babe I'm getting sick of this cold
But as long as we're together
Just let the ugly thing unfold
We could sleep in tight
If you don't stay out all night

It's bedtime
Baby won't you come back home
It's bedtime
Baby won't you come back home
Babe come home

"Motel Mercury" - First Single Released

We proudly present the first MangMade Records release, Jim Howe's first single "Motel Mercury."

"Motel" is a sultry rocker with Stoney seediness. Greg Cook plays bass and drums.

The B-side "About Time" is a chimey popper with a sixties shimmer.

We will begin a regular release schedule this year.

More to come!
